I am terrible about keeping blogs, absolutely terrible - a fantastic introduction, I know (But true! Do you see when this blog was originally made?!). And yet every time I fail to keep up with one, I find myself itching to start another. So here I am again.
I've fallen behind on my reading habits in recent years, and that makes me really sad. I'm eager to dig into some reads! The idea for this blog is to post reviews as I search for the "perfect" book.
But what is the perfect book? To me, the "perfect" book is the one that gives me life. It's just such a breath of fresh air. I love everything about it! And I want everyone else to read it! I'm currently on the hunt for the "perfect" Urban Fantasy. I love the concept of the genre - I just have issues with how it's executed. I'm sure there's something out there for me! I just have to find it.
My reading interests mostly involve low fantasy. I like ghosts, magic, witches, and kingdoms. I enjoy the occasional romance novel, though I'm often frustrated by the formulas of that genre. I'm on the fence about YA as I find the formula of them mostly copy/paste. But I haven't given up yet!
My reviews won't contain any in depth analysis of the novel's language, symbolism, or anything else of that sort. For me, a novel must contain relatable characters and an exciting plot that adds up to an engaging story. That will be the main criteria for reviews.
So for this blog, we'll be (ISO) in search of:
